Such was the success of its 2007 festival of Advent Wreaths, that the Church of the Nativity is repeating the event this November.
The festival was the main focus of an outreach weekend that captured the imagination of Leicester's Aylestone Park community. Local businesses, a school, voluntary groups and church organisations each made an Advent wreath that reflected their work.

The Revd Alistair Helm says: "The amazing thing was that many of the people who made and brought along wreaths had previously no contact with the church. The whole community were interested and created inspiring decorations."
The Church will be wreathed once more and the congregation will again welcome local school pupils, businesses and other members of the community through its doors as church and community once again unite in preparing Aylestone Park for Christmas. The church will be open for visitors during the day and the church rooms will have a variety of stalls and refreshments.
